definetly looking a little worse for wear. it's been warm out folks!

i'm not complaining though, can't help but love these hot summer days.

the plan was to give ourselves an early start and try to avoid the late afternoon heat but our intentions were waylaid by a shady front porch, cool morning air and a latte in had...that latte machine is really getting the best of us these days.

we finally made it off the porch and up to the trailhead only to discover that denver's bike had a flat and we didn't have the correct repair pieces.

it was one of the harder trails we've done on our mountain bikes, due to mileage and elevation gain, but the views were incredible and that portion of the tahoe rim trail is my favorite so far.

Something tells me that 2013 is going to be a good one! We look back at 2012 feeling so blessed and so thankful that our Savior, Jesus Christ, does indeed save, making good out of bad and giving us hope for a perfect future.

Mt Rose in two seasons

Mt Rose summit by foot, last weekend. It only took like an an hour and twenty minutes to get to the top,so we thought we going to beat Jocelyn's time and hurried back down. Surprisingly, it took just as long to get back down, so we still beat her, but not by much. (she will contest this, but she who blogs first wins)



Here's a photo from the archives, the other time we were up there. Sometime in the 09/10 season, we did Mt Rose on skis. I think we even blogged about it. Okay, at least Facebooked about it.
